Iron Gate has no problems porting "Valheim" to the new handheld

Valheim's developer Iron Gate revealed that they are "excited" about the new handheld game console Steam Deck from Valve.

In a new interview with TheGamer, Iron Gate’s programmer and designer Jonathan Smårs said: “Valheim runs almost as it is on the Steam platform, without any practical problems, whether it’s the Linux version or through Proton. The main thing is that we are dealing with something. Controller accessibility issues and some font sizes to make sure everything is readable."

"We are very impressed with Steam Deck," Smårs added. "We are very excited about its release. Having such a huge game library on the first day should be a very interesting prospect for mobile and console gamers."

Earlier this month, it was announced that the release of the console would be delayed due to "supply issues."

The console will now be shipped from February 2022. Valve said: "The release of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We apologize for this-we have done our best to solve the global supply chain problem, but due to the material Shortages, components failed to arrive at our manufacturing plant in time, unable to meet our initial release date."

Valve also revealed that they will review all available games on the Steam platform, and the "Platform Verification" status will be granted to games that pass four tests: input, seamlessness, display, and system support.

"We have started to review the game, and will continue to review the game after release and beyond. This is an ongoing evaluation of the entire catalog, and the rating of the game will change over time-as the developer releases updates or Deck software improves , The game will be reviewed again."

Earlier this month, Valve revealed more hardware information about the Steam platform during the Steamworks virtual conference. This is a series of six streaming videos aimed at developers developing games for the Steam platform. Anyone can watch it for free.
