What is Rebirth Island After Dark? Warzone Resurgence mode explained - Charlie INTEL

Warzone Season 5 brings the new Rebirth Island After Dark playlist, so here’s everything you need to know about the new Resurgence mode.

Warzone players are devastated every time Rebirth Island is removed, but Raven Software are bringing it back in a new playlist called ‘Rebirth After Dark.’ Here’s everything you need to know about Season 5’s Rebirth Island After Dark mode.

Warzone developers Raven Software brought new lighting to Rebirth Island with the Season 5 update and players loved it. However, the Alcatraz-inspired map keeps being removed with the daily playlist updates, and players have been begging Raven to let it stay.

Rebirth Island is set to return from Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 4. It’s not just regular Rebirth Island though, it’s called ‘Rebirth After Dark.’

In the Warzone Pacific Season 5 patch notes, Raven said that Rebirth After Dark “allows Players to experience this fan favorite experience after the sun has set.” Plus, it’s available in all squad sizes.

Judging from the small picture that was added alongside, it’s not quite as dark as the Rebirth Island night mode that was part of the Destruction of Verdansk event. After Verdansk was nuked, players were transported to an almost pitch-black version of Rebirth, and players have been wanting it to return ever since.

After Dark, however, appears to be not long after sunset. So, Rebirth shouldn’t be completely dark, but the setting sun should cast long shadows giving the map an eerie, darker tone. The Rebirth Island Resurgence gameplay should remain much the same, though.

We expect all of Fortune’s Keeps other squad sizes to make a return following Rebirth Island After Dark’s removal after September 4, and normal Rebirth Quads should return as well.

Raven should bring even more content in the Season 5 Reloaded update, and you can learn more about Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer at the Call of Duty Next event.

The UGM-8 is the best LMG in Warzone Season 5 so we’ve put together the best loadout to help you dominate Caldera.

The UGM-8 LMG arrived in Warzone Season 4 and has found true dominance in Season 5. Here’s how to unlock its full potential by building the best UGM-8 loadout with the perfect attachments, Perks, and equipment.

Each new major update brings a host of new content into the CoD battle royale, and Warzone Season 5, the final update ahead of Modern Warfare 2, is no different. On top of a shiny Battle Pass crammed full of rewards to unlock, buffs and nerfs completely changed the meta.

The KG M40 has fallen down the rankings but the UGM-8 has taken its place, becoming the weapon of choice for Warzone players looking to dominate long-range fights.

But before heading out into Season 5 with the UGM-8 in hand, you’re going to need to know how to set it up. We’ve put together the best UGM-8 loadout for Warzone Season 5, complete with the optimal attachments, Perks, and equipment.

Combing the MX Silencer, Bernard XL214 736mm Barrel, Mercier WT Ancre Stock, Hatched Grip, and M1941 Hand Stop drastically increases the best Warzone UGM-8 loadout’s recoil control and accuracy. This lets you utilize the LMG’s blistering fire rate with more precision, turning it into a laser with a rapid TTK.

The 6.5mm Sakura 125 Round Box also helps in the accuracy department, and makes the UGM more forgiving thanks to the extra ammunition. We load them with Lengthened rounds for extra bullet velocity which is essential in long-range fights.

The Optic is largely down to personal preference, but we’ve gone for the SVT PU 3-6x Scope as the nerfs in Season 5 were fairly negligible. Finally, in terms of Perks, we’ve got Tight Grip for one final buff to recoil control and Fully Loaded to ensure you always have enough ammo for a fight.

All in all, by applying these attachments, your UGM-8 LMG will be beaming enough enemies from across the map to rival Warzone’s best Assault Rifles.

Explosives tend to fly across Caldera, threatening to send you straight to the Gulag. So, we recommend E.O.D for some much-needed resistance to enemy projectiles.

Then you should go for Overkill to pair the UGM-8 with a close-range option like an SMG or Shotgun. Lastly, Amped allows you to switch between the two faster so you’re never caught with the wrong weapon out for too long.

When it comes to equipment, it’s hard to go wrong with Semtex for an easy-to-use lethal, and Stims can offer a welcome health and movement boost perfect for escaping a tough situation.

While the UGM-8 was previously unlocked in the Season 4 Battle Pass, you’ll now need to get 15 bullet penetration kills to unlock the LMG in Season 5.

This is extremely easy to complete in Vanguard but Caldera’s walls are paper-thin, so equipping Combat Scout and FMJ should net you the kills if you play for long enough.

If the UGM-8 isn’t cutting it for you, you might want to switch to one of the best Assault Rifles such as the STG44 or Automaton.

For more on Warzone Season 5, check out the latest nerf to Serpentine and September’s line-up of Double XP events.

Here are the full patch notes for Warzone Pacific’s September 2 update that nerfed Serpentine and improved the Gas Mask toggle.

Warzone devs Raven Software dropped a new update on September 2 bringing the highly-anticipated Serpentine nerf, improvements to the Gas Mask, a Supply Box UAV buff, and bug fixes. Here are the full Warzone September 2 update patch notes.

Warzone Pacific Season 5 is the final season ahead of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, but that didn’t stop Raven Software from bringing even more quality-of-life improvements to the game.

On top of the highly-requested Gas Mask toggle feature, the devs brought an initial nerf to Serpentine with a second change confirmed for later in the season. That second nerf arrived with the September 2 update, alongside adjustments to the Operation: Last Call mode, changes to the 8-Bit EX1 Blueprint, and improved the new Gas Mask mechanics.

Here are the full September 2 patch notes for Warzone Season 5.

Warzone players have been fighting against Serpentine ever since it arrived, and the devs have nerfed it a couple of times now. Players still didn’t feel it was enough, so with Season 5’s September 2 update, Serpentine will only work while Tactical Sprinting.

The devs “expect that this change, along with the existing hard counters that are available in “Frangible – Disabling” and the VG gunperk “Disable” will result in both a more consistent engagement experience and encourage further exploration of weapon builds.”

This limited-time, Heroes-versus-Villains-themed Mode is currently live and available for all Players to experience until September 14th. We’ve made a couple of small adjustments that we think will help improve the experience:

We’ve seen positive reactions to the “8-Bit Warfare” Mastercraft Bundle and the included “NOCLIP” EX1 (VG) Blueprint. That said, we’ve also heard feedback that Players have found the overlaid, low-framerate retro gaming filter to be overwhelming and, in some cases, even causing nausea. We have therefore made a change to remove this filter so that the Blueprint still looks 8-bit but plays like a glorious modern day Weapon.

We’ve updated Serpentine to now only be in effect during Tactical Sprint instead of regular Sprint. We expect that this change, along with the existing hard counters that are available in “Frangible – Disabling” and the VG Gunperk “Disable” will result in both a more consistent engagement experience and encourage further exploration of weapon builds.
