Kuala Lumpur: Yesterday, the High Court was satisfied that five compatriots of Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain used hot steam irons to cause 90 burns to Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain, but ruled that this was not a premeditated murder.

Judge Datuk Azman said in his judgment that the testimony of the prosecution witness, Dr. Salma Assad, a forensic expert at Serdang Hospital, and Dr. Roha Youshaha Adnan, director of the forensic department of Sungai Buloh Hospital, were considered. Later, the court also found that Zufahan Osman’s death was not a sudden death after being injured.

He said that the court found that the first to fifth defendants were those who used a steam iron to cause 90 burns to Zufahan Osman.

"The first, second, fourth and fifth defendants admitted to pressing the iron once or twice (on the victim), while the third defendant did not admit to doing so. However, the sixth defendant and another prosecution witness testified Said that he saw the third defendant press the iron," he said.

The judge stated that there was no other strong evidence that other than the five people who committed the crime deliberately, there were other people who pressed Zulfarhan Osman's body.

"She said there were first, second and third degree burns from the bottom of the neck to the victim's feet, including shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, ribcage, shoulder blades, thighs, calves and ankles," he said. .

"If the deceased wears a long-sleeved shirt, the marks will be hidden. That is their meticulousness.

"They (defendants) also told the court that they loved the deceased. Maybe if they didn't love him, they would put a steam iron on his face, and he might have more than 90 burn marks on his body," he said.

The judge also stated that Zulfarhan Osman may not die if the deceased is being treated in the clinic and the doctors at the Wangi Private Clinic intervene, because usually the hospital or clinic will report to the police if they suspect that the patient has been abused. It is a medical legal issue.

"Doctors should not turn a blind eye, thinking that the deceased had an explosion during training until his entire body, including his penis and testicles, were burned, but there were no marks on his face," the judge said. Said.

He pointed out that if the deceased was not seriously injured, he would not be taken to the clinic twice, and each treatment would cost RM500.

The judge said that Zulfarhan Osman’s ordeal began when the laptop of the first defendant Muhammad Akmal Zuhairi Azmal was lost. The 17th defendant’s father, Noriznan Izzairi Noor Azhar, called to confirm his three names, including the deceased, and stole it. laptop. laptop.
