The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the biggest travel day of the week, and this year is no exception.

Alabama's AAA predicts that more than 53 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more on holiday weekends.

Therefore, Alabama spokesperson Clay Ingram's AAA stated that traffic congestion on roads or airports is expected.

Ingram said: "We know that for most of the other holidays this year, we are very close to the situation before all these COVID things appeared in 2019." In Alabama, the average price of gasoline per gallon is hovering around $3.16, which is below the seven-year high we hit a few weeks ago.
